A+ ~~ I knew before I was even engaged that Angela would be my wedding planner. Not only was she my wedding planner, but she is a dear friend of mine and I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else to handle my event. I’ve been an event planner for five years, and some would say that’s a blessing. But knowing all the behind-the-scenes stories about all the vendors in town and being detail-obsessed on a daily basis also makes it a curse. I met Angela through the Association of Bridal Consultants, and was an assistant to a few of the weddings she did. I planned weddings myself for a while and still dabble here and there in the wedding planning of others. I plan on continuing this “talent” of mine for however long it stays an obsession. But even though I am an event planner, I still wanted someone else to handle the hard stuff so I could enjoy my wedding like I was supposed to.

I hired Angela as a Day of Coordinator. She used an assistant Mary who was also very helpful. Angela is one of the most hard-working and dedicated people I have ever met. She goes above and beyond to make sure you have a perfect day. She stays in constant contact with you and is quick to return e-mails and phone calls. She is also quick to move her schedule to be present at important meetings. I was so stressed the Monday before my wedding, but after meeting with her and having an iced cappuccino while discussing everything, it was clear I had nothing to worry about. She was there all day and night. She did an assortment of extra things including continuously fluffing my petticoat so my ball gown was perfect. She even helped lift my dress so I could go to the bathroom. It’s not a pretty job, people, but she was there to help without question. I would never hesitate to recommend Angela as a wedding planner. She has an educational background that not many other wedding planners have and it makes her that much more sharp and handy when she’s planning events. She is a God-send, and I will always remember her comforting words and hugs from the time I became engaged to the time I left our reception.

A++++++ ~~ Melanie was fabulous; by far, our best vendor! She was early for the rehearsal, kept everything in order, knew when to speak up and when to let the priest run the show. She showed up to the church early on the day of to decorate and had a friend with her to help get everything done. She organized all the picture taking to make sure that we didn't see each other before the ceremony. Every one got down the aisle just right.

At the reception, she handled so many issues that we never knew about until after the fact. Our reception site's sound system was not working properly, so we could not use our iPod as planned. No one found this out until an hour before the reception started. Melanie had a friend that lived near by burning all of our special songs on to CD so that we could have our first dance and parent's dances. In the end the sound system was up and running, but Melanie had it covered, just in case. She had all of my vendor contact info, even though I forgot to provide her with some of it. When we decided to leave the reception a little early, she called the limo company and moved our pick up time. During that phone call she confirmed that we were to have a Bentley, and apparently the limo company never made that note, so she was able to make sure the right car picked us up. I had so many guests mention small things she took care of that day, and I can't imagine how we would have handled it without her there. She truly made our wedding day perfect.

A++++++++ ~~ I can't even begin to explain how fantastic Melanie was. She was far and away the best money we spent on the entire wedding, and she was worth twice that. I still have not even managed to figure out what all went "wrong" throughout the day. I know some things did, but I was never aware of it. Melanie took care of EVERYTHING. She was so on top of things. I regretfully allowed a family friend to "arrange" our flowers, which was a HUGE mistake. She did an awful job, but Melanie basically re-did all of my flowers to make them presentable, and they looked great. On top of that, she managed to help decorate, and coordinate the day. She was there until every last decoration was packed up and ready to go, making sure to pay attention to details such as washing our toasting glasses out personally to be sure the staff didn't break them. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend her to anyone.

A ~~ Melanie did a great job keeping everything in line. I didn't see her most of the day because she was buzzing around setting up. She did an excellent job setting up the ceremony and reception cites, everything looked gorgeous. She was calm and wasn't bossy or overbearing (something DH was concerned about before I hired a DOC) but still kept everything in line.

A+ ~~ By far, the best money I spent was on a day of coordinator. Molly did a great job - she was extremely friendly and professional with vendors, family and guests and absolutely relieved me of having to worry about any details. She asked a lot of questions, took initiative when needed and made sure everything was perfect!

A++++ ~~ I could not have done it without Andrea. She was willing to work with us even though we had a small budget. She did EVERYTHING.. here are some of the specifics:

-met with the vendors (b/c we live in Seattle)
-managed our budget
-Designed, had printed, addressed, and mailed all of our STD cards and invitations. Plus she managed all of the RSVPs and created our programs
-Did all of the decorating and teardown… picked up the flowers… and cakes
-Helped me find vendors.. such as stylist, dj, and baker
-Managed paying all of the vendors
-Best of all she thoughts of all the little details that are so nice.. like bringing us snacks while we were getting ready the morning of, emergency basket in the bathrooms, flip flops for the ladies
-She also made all of the OOT bags and delivered them all.
*To all of you ladies planning a wedding if you can find the money to hire a coordinator you should… it was the best money we spent!

A++ ~~ Planned long-distance (my mom, DH and I all lived out of town at the time). Could not have done it without Steve’s support and incredible talent. He is a serious event planner, not a day-of-coordinator. He handled most of the details, from working with the museum on lighting to developing the look with the florist, handling all the rentals, ordering and transporting the favors, hiring additional staff for the Kemper, etc. He is also part of PT Catering, the amazing caterer that catered our cocktail reception.

A+++ ~~ Kindra Browne is the owner of A Simple Elegance. Kindra was the best money I spent on the wedding hands down. My day went absolutely perfect in most part because of her. Some of my vendors I was a little nervous about following though and Kindra took charge to make sure they were doing what they were supposed to be doing. I booked the finals step package so Kindra started helping me out about 4 months before the wedding. She helped me pull together my "look" of the wedding as well as finalize vendors. She was extremely helpful the two weeks before the wedding as she took care of confirming EVERYTHING with the vendors. It was so nice to only have to worry about the small stuff getting done because Kindra took care of the rest. Some of my wedding guest even commented about how helpful and nice she was. Kindra has been in the business over 10 years and is very well known and respected. She is more expensive than many of the other coordinators out there, but very well worth it. Even if you don't hire Kindra, I highly recommend hiring at least a day of coordinator.

A- ~~ For just entering the world of wedding coordinating, she did pretty well. When it came down to it, she "walked the walk", meaning hard work didn't both her, she took our stuff to the hotel for us, and was wonderful and helped my mom pick up at the end of the evening when we couldn't find anyone at TCOB to help. It is more my fault that I didn't give better directions on the ceremony and the processional, but truthfully I didn't know much about it myself. Definitely worth it, especially for the reception portion of the event. And she also came appropriately dresses (ie: hot!), unlike the coordinator at TCOB.

A ~ By far the best money I spent on the wedding! Missy met with me several times prior to the wedding to iron out details I needed help on, was in contact with all of my vendors the week of the wedding, and took care of absolutely everything the day of. She was at the rehearsal to keep everyone in line, she came down to the Hyatt where we were getting ready in the morning and picked up the ceremony flowers, set up the reception, was at the church to make sure everything happened as planned, was at the reception the entire time running the show, and even jumped in and helped scoop ice cream when the one server we had doing it got overloaded.

A ~~ Even though we worked with Missy through her job at the Madrid Theatre, I posted her separately to refer to her website, as we also rented from there. I also wanted to separate her from my slight disappointment with the Madrid Theatre. Missy was great to work with- very calming and organized, etc, especially considering the situation she came into and that it was only a few weeks before our wedding date! During the reception- she took care of everything- I didn't have to worry about a thing and she was always there moving us into the next round of events! Also- we rented a few items from her company, White Lily Weddings, and everything was beautiful!! Highly recommend her as a Day of Wedding Coordinator!
